Shibata Castle

Hello there! This time I visited Shibata Castle, one of the top 100 castles in Japan.

It was July 11, 2024, sunny and comfortably warm 🙂

The periphery of the castle looks like this.

In front of the main gate, I found a bronze statue of Horibe Yasubee Taketsune, so I am going to share a few pictures of it.

And then to the main gate.

Making my way through the main gate to Tatsumi Yagura.

On my way to the inside of the main gate, I found a statue of Lord Mizoguchi Hidekatsu, the first lord of the Shibata Domain.

After that, I went to the main gate.

Getting out of the gate into Former Ninomaru Sumi Yagura.
