Hi everyone! This time I went to Arakawa Kenryu Gorge in Shibata city, Niigata prefecture 🙂
It was on September 3rd, 2024, cloudy and somewhat hot.
I got to enjoy the beauty of nature listening to the chirping of insects and the murmur of the stream.
All right, I will start with the pictures of the front approach to Mountain God Shrine.
Crossing the red bridge whose paint was coming off, I just kept walking along the path leading to the shrine.
The sound of stepping on weeds and fallen leaves was also pleasing to the ear.
The platform covered with moss was decaying and looked so unstable that I stepped across excessively cautiously.
Finally, I made it to Mountain God Shrine!
It looked petit and it says you will be blessed with children, easy delivery, good health, longevity, well-being of the family and so on.
Here are the pictures from Mountain God Shrine to the resting place.
Because I was terrified to see the sign that says “Watch out for bears,” I decided not to go deeper and instead go back home from the resting place through Drum Bridge.
The pictures down below are views from Drum Bridge 🙂
I crossed Drum Bridge, walked up the stairs and got to the forest path.
From time to time, I looked back to see if there was a bear behind me and safely got into the car, then went back home.
FYI, there were a lot of insects busily flying around me along the way, so you may be more comfortable carrying bug spray if you are worried.
That’s it for today’s blog. Have a wonderful day, peace 😀
