Hoshitouge Rice Terrace

Hello there! I visited Hoshitouge Rice Terrace located in Tokamachi, Niigata prefecture, Japan 🙂

It was on October 26th, 2024, cloudy and a bit chilly.

This spot was used for the opening theme of Tenchijin, an NHK period drama.

Being Saturday, there were some other visitors enjoying taking pictures.

These rice terraces were cultivated by our ancestors from Hoshitouge Village over 300 years ago and have been passed down to us up until now
