Hello guys! How’s it going? Hope your day is going great (*’ω’*)
I went to Ichishimatei, one of the best residences of Hokuetsu situated in Shibata city, Niigata prefecture, Japan 😀
The date of my visit was on Feb. 25, 2025. It was cloudy, had some snow piled up, but did not feel that cold.
This residence spans over 26400 square meters of land and a building area of over 1980 square meters; many of the buildings are registered as Designated Cultural Properties of Niigata Prefecture.
Without a further ado, I am going to share the pics taken there through the following sliders down below!
To begin with, here are the ones around the entrance.
The angle is not satisfying, but this is Omotemon: one of the Designated Cultural Properties of Niigata Prefecture.
Large jars, a jar, a mortar and pestles, and a large tub placed in front of Maedozou: one of the Designated Cultural Properties of Niigata Prefecture.
Kogetsutei ― a former rice granary ― is now used as a museum to display belongings of the Ichishimas.
Their special display of Hina Dolls in the museum.
The statue of Shunjou Ichishima Kenkichi.
The inside of the residence including some of the Designated Cultural Properties of Niigata Prefecture ― Connecting Corridor, Study and Nanzantei.
Manjitei; its four seats make the shape of 卍(manji).
Preach Place: one of the Designated Cultural Properties of Niigata Prefecture.
Seigetsuen: a stroll-round garden.
The rest of the pics.
That’s it for today’s blog.
Will write another one when I am in good spirits.
Until next time. Wishing you a brilliant day ( ^^) _U~~
