This time I went to Hyoko Iris Garden in Agano city, Niigata prefecture!
It was on June 8, 2024, sunny and pretty windy.
Hyoko Iris Festival is supposed to be held from June 1st to June 23rd, 2024.
Coming to this iris garden, I will start with some pictures of irises! Not full in bloom but in bloom by 20~30%.
These are the ones with the variety names written.
Hyoko is known as one of the Registered Wetlands under Ramsar Convention as well as Five Hundred Important Wetlands in Japan. It is also a natural monument in Japan where swans come over; they come from Siberia. This time I was able to catch a glimpse of some!
There were some peacocks and peahens in the iris garden! It has been a while since I last saw them. Of course I will share them!
