This time I visited Ijimino Park located in Shibata city, Niigata prefecture.
Shibata Iris Festival will be running from June 12 to June 23rd, 2024.
It was on June 15, 2024 and the weather was sunny. I knew it would be too hot in the daytime, so I arrived there in the evening.
I was really looking forward to coming here because this iris garden in the park is one of the Four Great Iris Gardens in Japan.
Without further ado, I will start with “Masugata” that stands out in the park!
These are some of the Japanese irises flourishing in the garden.
Looks like 30~40% of the irises were blooming at this moment. For a few more days to be at its best, I assume.
I took these pictures so we could see them with the variety names.
Coming all the way to this garden, I waited till 7 p.m. and enjoyed the illuminated Japanese irises. They were so fantastic that I got the power of grandeur from them 🙂
