Hello there! This time I went to Uwasekigata Park in Nishikan-ku, Niigata prefecture 🙂
The date was on August 30th, 2024. It was cloudy. I felt like the hottest day of the year and almost got a heat stroke.
Alright, these are some of the pictures around the first parking lot.
These are the pictures in the barbecue facility. There is a bathroom in this area as well although I did not take a picture of it.
These are the ones of the promenade around the barbecue facility and the lawn plaza (multipurpose plaza).
I am sure you see a glimpse of the straw art works in production in one of the pictures down below; I took it from afar in order not to bother them.
They will hold “Straw Art Festival ~Legends of Echigo~ in Reiwa 6 (2024)” from August 31st, 2024!
These are of the monument to Princess Konohanasakuya. There are several origins of the word “sakura (cherry blossoms);” one of them came from her and it is said that “sakuya” turned into “sakura.”
These are some of the pictures I took around the promenade and the pond of wild birds on my way from the monument to the sunflower plaza.
My main purpose was to view sunflowers, but unfortunately I missed the best season and they were nearly dying, so I am just going to share a little bit of the scenery in the sunflower plaza.
From the sunflower plaza to the interaction plaza which is next to the barbecue facility.
Since the straw art festival of this year is being held, why don’t you go visit Uwasekigata Park if you are interested?
