Hello there! This time I visited Kanazu Waterfall, a.k.a Shiratama Waterfall, located in Niigata city, Niigata prefecture 🙂
It was on September 4th, 2024, sunny and a little hot.
This Shiratama Waterfall includes Male Waterfall, Female Waterfall and Sakunadono Shrine, and I made sure of each of them with my own eyes.
It is said that a woman burnt herself to death in this parking lot, and it is famous not only for a scenic spot, but also for a haunted place.
They say that the bathroom in the parking lot is haunted by a female ghost. Believing it or not depends on you.

And this is Female Waterfall, one of the sightseeing spots here!
These are the pictures from Female Waterfall to Male Waterfall.
Because the steps are slippery, it is safer for you to grip the handrail and walk up slowly.
This is Male Waterfall, another one of the sightseeing spots here!
It has 15 meters vertical gap between the top and the bottom of the waterfall and some people do a waterfall training by standing under this Male Waterfall.
Here are the pictures from Male Waterfall to Sakunadono Shrine, which stands further up the steps.
Walking up the steps, I got to Sakunadono Shrine, the third sightseeing spot here.
Princess Seoritsu, a goddess of water, is enshrined here.
The shrine was locked, but I got to take a peep at the inside because for some reason, part of the window glass was broken.
Lastly, I retraced my steps back to the parking lot and drove home.
