Kōryū Shrine

Nagaoka City

Hello there! This time I visited Kōryū Shrine located in Nagaoka city, Niigata prefecture, Japan.

The date was on September 28th, 2024, cloudy and the temperature was comfortable enough.

Maybe because of the fact that it was Saturday, there were a lot of visitors coming to this shrine.

All right, I am going to share many pictures of the spot.

Year of the Dragon
Bales of Rice Dedicated to the Gods in This Shrine
Monument to Celebrating Reconstruction from the Niigata Chūetsu Earthquake

Enshrined Gods in Kōryū Shrine

The sign in this shrine down below says that the enshrined gods are Takaokami no Kami and Kuraokami no Kami, and in 1832 Toyotamahime no Mikoto was enshrined together.

You won’t believe that the stairs have 118 steps, but you can go half way up in the elevator as well.

It not only has many steps, but the angle is also steep, so I was pretty thrilled and intrigued at the same time.

Uploading the rest of the pictures, I will wrap up today’s blog and take a break.

Wishing you a fantastic day 😀
