Hello there! This time I went and saw “Iwase no Shimizu” situated in Agano city, Niigata prefecture, Japan 😀
It was on November 3rd, 2024. Cloudy, windy and a bit chilly.
FYI, shimizu means clear water and “no” as in “Iwase no Shimizu” means “of” or “in.”
This clear water is registered as not only one of the top 100 waters in Niigata prefecture, but also a cultural property designated by Agano city.
As a side note, I got a large bottle with this clear water in from the old man that happened to come to the spot at the same timing as mine !(^^)!
Well then, I am going to upload the pictures of this famous water.

It is used by many children as well because it stands right next to the schoolyard of Sasaoka Elementary School in Agano city.
