Imori Pond

Asian Skunk Cabbage

Hello there! This time I visited Imori Pond situated in Myōkō city, Niigata prefecture, Japan.

The date of my visit was on November 24th, 2024. Rainy, cloudy and cold enough for me to feel like winter.

Stopped by this pond after Naena Waterfall, one of the top 100 waterfalls of Japan.

Here is my blog about Naena Waterfall → Naena Waterfall

Imori Pond represents one of the sightseeing spots in Myōkō city, and over 100,000 Asian skunk cabbages come into bloom in spring.

A walkway encompasses the pond, and it takes about 15 minutes to go around the pond while you get to enjoy its seasonal plants and wild birds.

Without further ado, let me move on to sharing the pictures of the pond first.

FYI, some of the pictures include Mt. Myōkō, one of 100 famous Japanese mountains.

These are the notice boards I found there.
