Mizubashō Park

Asian Skunk Cabbage

Hello there! This time I went to Mizubashō Park to see Asian skunk cabbage.

It is located in Gosen city, Niigata prefecture, Japan.

The date of my visit was on April 4th, 2025. Drizzling and chilly.

I thought there would not be so many people because it was drizzling, but surprisingly, I saw about 30 people walking and taking pictures.

I found a shrine and a temple as well, but first of all, I am going to share the pics of Asian skunk cabbage.

Here you are! It is funny to know that this plant is called “skunk cabbage” in English. lol

My impression was that about 30% of them were blooming when I took these pics.

Next up is the shrine, the temple and so on.
