Itayama Fudōson

Hello there! This time I visited Itayama Fudōson, which is one of the cultural properties designated by Joetsu city, Niigata prefecture, Japan. The date of my visit was on October 26th, 2024, cloudy and a bit chilly. On the sign at the spot says, “Fudōson is enshrined and two hundred and tens of stone buddha statues lie in the cave.” I did not count, but surely a multitude of stone buddha statues were placed from end to end in the cave. Okay, first off, I am going to share the pictures of “Itayama Cave Stone Buddha Statues.” taken from the inside of the cave.

Shigohei Waterfall

Hello there! I went and viewed Shigohei Waterfall, a cultural property designated by Muramatsumachi, which was annexed to Gosen city in 2006 :) It is full of nature located in Gosen city, Niigata prefecture, Japan. The date was on October 21th, 2024, sunny and the temperature was just perfect for me. Without further ado, I am going to share with you the pictures of the waterfall, which is about 30 meters from the top to the bottom.

Nakayama Shrine

Hello there! This time I visited Nakayama Shrine in Hashida, Gosen city, Niigata prefecture, Japan :) The date was on October 21st, 2024, sunny and the temperature was just right. You will see main shrine stand after you go through its south-facing torii gate and walk up the stone stairs with 250 steps. All right, so I am going to share tons of pictures little by little. Sengandoh Suspension Bridge etc

Hi, how's it going? I went to Tsubame city, Niigata prefecture, Japan and enjoyed seeing Sengandoh Suspension Bridge etc :) The date was on October 6th, 2024, cloudy and a little hot for autumn. Monument to the Landing Point of Yonouzu Meteorite

Hello there! I drove to Tsubame city, Niigata prefecture to take a look at Monument to the Landing Point of Yonouzu Meteorite :D Yonouzu Meteorite is registered as a cultural asset designated by Tsubame city. This is where the third heaviest meteorite in Japan fell and the real thing is exhibited in National Museum of Nature and Science in Tokyo. The date of my visit was on October 6th, 2024, cloudy and a little hot for autumn. Now, I am going to share the pictures of the monument.

Nakayama Tunnel

Hello there! This time I visited Nakayama Tunnel located between Uonuma city and Nagaoka city :D This old tunnel is the longest as a hand-dug tunnel and registered as a civil engineering heritage. Yahiko Lantern Festival – Celebratory Fireworks Festival

I heard that a fireworks festival would be held around Yahiko Park and I went there! I was sincerely relieved that it did not rain. It was on July 25, cloudy and hot as always. Here are some of the pictures around the spot. Because I expected many people would come here, I arrived 3 hours earlier than 8 p.m. at which the fireworks festival started. You think I came here too early? I am a worrywart... lol Three hours later, the fireworks festival got started, which was I was looking forward to viewing.

Shinran Shonin Historic Spot and Reverse Bamboo, One of the Seven Wonders in Echigo

This time, I mainly came to see Reverse Bamboo, one of the seven wonders in Echigo as well as a natural monument. It was July 7, 2024, cloudy and a little hot. Tanabata (Star Festival) is on the seventh of July, but I came here by sheer coincidence.
