Momiji Garden

Hello there! This time I visited Momiji Garden located in Nagaoka city, Niigata prefecture, Japan 😀 It was on November 12th, 2024. Cloudy, windy and a little chilly. The Japanese maples tinged with yellow and red looked beautiful and artistic (#^.^#) I thought there would be fewer visitors out there, but in fact there were a ton of people coming by bus or car. All of them including me enjoyed taking pictures as well. Tomoegaoka Villa, which is inside the garden, is one of the Registered Tangible Cultural Properties; it is citizens’ valuable property. Without further ado, first off, I am going to share the colorful leaves.

Hyoko Suikin Park

Hello there! This time I visited Hyoko Suikin Park situated in Suibara, Agano city, Niigata prefecture! It was on November 3rd, 2024. Cloudy, windy and a bit chilly. Hyoko is famous as a stopover for swans and one of the Ramsar Sites. I arrived there at around 9 am and the swans had already left for the rice fields around this lake, looking for something to eat. Without further ado, I am going to share the pictures of waterfowls swimming in this lake first.

Yukiguni Botanical Gardens

Hello there! This time I headed to Yukiguni Botanical Gardens located in Nagaoka city, Niigata prefecture, Japan, mainly to see red spider lilies :D The date of my visit was on September 28th, 2024, cloudy and the temperature was just prefect. Tarugahashi Zoo Park

Hello there! This time I went to Tarugahashi Zoo Park in Tainai city, Niigata prefecture. This is an amusement park combining a mini zoo with attractions like Merry-go-round. You can pay the admission fee by cash or PayPay. I am glad to know that cashless payment is available here :D I will only share some of the places in the park because I did not take pictures of all the sectinos. Tenjyuen Garden

Hello there! This time I visited Tenjyuen, a Chinese-Japanese garden, located in Niigata city, Niigat aprefecture! It was on the 18th of July, 2024, cloudy and more hot than warm. Being summer already, I heard the sound of cicadas. Without further ado, I am going to show you some of the pictures of the entrance and its vicinity. Shibata Iris Festival

This time I visited Ijimino Park located in Shibata city, Niigata prefecture. It was on June 15, 2024 and the weather was sunny. I knew it would be too hot in the daytime, I arrived there in the evening. I was really looking forward to coming here because this iris garden in the park is one of the Four Great Iris Gardens in Japan. Without further ado, I will start with "Masugata" that stands out in the park!

Hyoko Iris Festival

This time I went to Hyoko Iris Garden in Agano city, Niigata prefecture! It was on June 8, 2024, sunny and pretty windy. Hyoko Iris Festival is supposed to be held from June 1st to June 23rd, 2024. Coming to this iris garden, I will start with some pictures of irises! Not full in bloom but in bloom by 20~30%.
