Asian Skunk Cabbage Mizubashō Park
Hello there! This time I went to Mizubashō Park to see Asian skunk cabbage. It is located in Gosen city, Niigata prefecture, Japan. The date of my visit was on April 4th, 2025. Drizzling and chilly. I thought there would not be so many people because it was drizzling, but surprisingly, I saw about 30 people walking and taking pictures. I found a shrine and a temple as well, but first of all, I am going to share the pics of Asian skunk cabbage. Here you are! It is funny to know that this plant is called “skunk cabbage” in English. lol My impression was that about 30% of them were blooming when I took these pics.
Japanese Apricots 26th Japanese Apricot Festival in Tagami
Hey guys! What's up? I went out for the first time in a while. My destination was Bairin Park in Tagami-machi, Minamikanbara-gun, Niigata prefecture, Japan. Brought myself to this place twice to see Japanese apricot flowers that come into bloom a little earlier than cherry blossoms, aka sakura. My first visit was on March 26th, 2025. Cloudy. The second one was on April 1st, 2025. Drizzly. Alright, first of all I am going to share the pictures taken on the 26th of March. This tree is called Japanese apricot, aka ume in Japanese; they were showing a vernal atmosphere yet only 20% of them were blooming.

Hello guys! How’s it going? Hope your day is going great (*’ω’*) I went to Ichishimatei, one of the best residences of Hokuetsu situated in Shibata city, Niigata prefecture, Japan 😀 The date of my visit was on Feb. 25, 2025. It was cloudy, had some snow piled up, but did not feel that cold. This residence spans over 26400 square meters of land and a building area of over 1980 square meters; many of the buildings are registered as Designated Cultural Properties of Niigata Prefecture. Bamboo Akasakayama Park and Shōun Sansō Villa
Good evening, everyone! This time I went to Akasakayama Park & Shōun Sansō Villa located in Kashiwazaki city, Niigata prefecture, Japan 😀 It was on November 12th, 2024. Cloudy, windy and a bit chilly. Parked my car at the parking lot after paying 1000 yen for the cooperation of their illuminations. Hello there! This time I visited Momiji Garden located in Nagaoka city, Niigata prefecture, Japan 😀 It was on November 12th, 2024. Cloudy, windy and a little chilly. The Japanese maples tinged with yellow and red looked beautiful and artistic (#^.^#) I thought there would be fewer visitors out there, but in fact there were a ton of people coming by bus or car. All of them including me enjoyed taking pictures as well. Tomoegaoka Villa, which is inside the garden, is one of the Registered Tangible Cultural Properties; it is citizens’ valuable property.
