Gorin Waterfall

Hi guys! I drove to Nishikan-ku, Niigata city, Niigata prefecture, Japan to see this waterfall called “Gorin Waterfall.” 😀 It was on Jan. 13, 2025. The weather was cloudy, and it had some snow piled up. It has a parking capacity of about 4~5, but to my surprise, it was full to capacity, so I had to wait for a while nearby. Maybe because people for climbing Mt. Kakuda awaited this lull in the rain as well. Well then, before sharing my pictures of the waterfall, I am going to share Gorin Stone, on which Matsuo Bashō, a Japanese Haiku poet, and his suite sat down.

Naena Waterfall

Hi, everybody! This time I went to Naena Waterfall cascading in between Niigata prefecture and Nagano prefecture 🙂 This fall runs into Seki River and is selected as one of the Top 100 Waterfalls of Japan as well. The length of the fall from top to bottom is 55 meters, and it is also known as “Earthquake Waterfall” because the tumultuous sound it makes sounds as if it were an earthquake. It is pretty far from home, but I rolled up my sleeves and drove at midnight and got to the parking lot in Myōkō city, Niigata prefecture without trouble. Because it was drizzling, I was waiting about 2 hours for it to let up while watching anime. Speaking of Myōkō, it reminds me of Hikakin. Without further ado, let me move on to sharing the photos of Naena Waterfall.

Hello there! This time I visited Kousagi Shrine located in Sekikawa Village, Iwafune-gun, Niigata prefecture, Japan 😀 Because it stands in an residential area, I would have almost missed it had I not paid close attention to it.
